Services
A private Hire company that provides for journeys to and from airports and long distance destinations as requested and quoted.
The quote, usually requested via email or phone call to our call centre, open 24 hours a day will be replied to between the hours of 09.00am and 21.00pm. Immediate or within the hour booking can be only accepted between the hours 09.00 and 20.00hrs in order have enough time to allocate sufficient vehicle and driver suitable for the journey quoted. Any direct online booking made must give at least one hour before collection time plus for every 50 miles from the collection point one extra hour added.
The email sent will contain the quote plus any ancillary payment/s they may fall due such as toll fees parking fees, congestion charges and extra pickup and drop off fees and waiting fees.
There are the following payment terms:

We are a pre pay service. You can use our secure payment facility provided by our PSP ” Realax” or “Worldpay” when making the booking.
You can make a bank transfer using the following bank account details. Sort code 09-01-29 12679436 santander ( overseas codes :BIC: ABBYGB2LXXX IBAN: GB75Abby0901291269436) always use the name you booked as your reference and state on the booking “paid by bank transfer”.
Note – if your bank transfer is not made within 12 hours the booking will not be processed and will be cancelled. It is advisable to email or call us if you are concerned.

If paypal has made a charge, we will collect this from you on your pickup, it will usually be 4%.

A typical quote will be as follows which will be emailed with the following details:

Your quote is £94 to London Heathrow/Gatwick/Luton (£98 London Airport to Colchester) including up to 4 large luggage / cases and 4 personal bags/luggage (Note:this is not the hand luggage stated as cabin luggage, it is Personal Bags which is able to be placed on passengers lap if room is not available in the boot area, this indicates how small the personal/bags/luggage must be: 40x30x5cm similar to the PC bags/ Tablet bags or clutch/hand bags for ladies .)

If more than this is reported on a pickup and we are lucky to have a larger vehicle dispatched at the time, then a extra charge of £2 per extra luggage/case will be due immediately.

The above is quoted if booked and confirmed by our automated email service before 7 days of actual airport taxi booking date and prepaid. We are essentially a pre paid Airport Private Hire firm. If there are less than 7 days before the airport transfer booking, there will be an admin fee of £2 added to the whole of the booking. There are no refunds at 7 days before actual airport transfer booking date. Cash bookings we will add the Booking fee £2, to the fees when ever booked even if more than seven days.

In exceptional circumstances, cash bookings will be taken with a £2 booking fee.

This encourages advance bookings for a more efficiently run business and stop no shows, therefore providing better business all round.

We will inform you on the confirmation email/text sent of any charges if due.

Most of our fares are inclusive of minimum parking, toll fees and card charges

This will be stated on any communication.

The easiest way to pay is by calling us and using your card over the phone.The details required are the long number on the front, 4 digit expiry date and 3 digit security code. Please provide your email address and mobile number. We use world pay so you will receive an email confirming the process has be successful.

There are no card charges as quotes are inclusive of any card fees attracted on all transactions.
We accept all business cards and american express cards, along with debit cards.

We are essentially a pre-paid service, so when booking, a payment in full, including your retun transfer is required to complete and secure your booking.

Guarantees and warranties offered

Barries Cars Ltd guarantee to collect and transport you and your passengers and the number luggage / cases / bags stated in the quote and agreed within the confirmation process (see confirmation process), to and from the airport at the agreed confirmed price plus ancillary fees stated. If no payment has been made then no guarantee shall exist.

Confirmation process
The confirmation process includes a quote request via email or telephone;

If further information reveals an increased fare, then an email will be sent to inform of renewed quotation.
The customer is then required to carry out the checklist provided in the email after the quotation information, payment in full by means of one of the above payment terms. See payment terms. The payment terms are set out in the email. Full payment is required 7 days before booking date as we are essentially a pre pay Private Hire company.
There will be a requirement to provide number of passengers travelling, number of cases over 30 kg and number of cases under 30 kg.

We will need to know the mobile number and email address of the main contact.

We will need to know if you wish to use your own child seats.Note: Child seats are not provided. Arrangements can be made to drop off and collect child seats, a small charge will be arranged, please ask.
Customers are responsible for their own safety of there siblings.Private hire rules include that small children can use the adult saftey belts fitted inthe cars but babies that can be held are safer if no child seat available held in front of the adult safety belt not belted inside the adult belt with the adult as double belting is not allowed.
The Flight number of incoming flights for pickup and landing time with departure airport and terminal of arrival will be required.
Once all this information has been detailed in the reply to the quotation email a final email of the booking will be sent to the customer for approval. In this email the booking displays how it will be seen in exact format on the electronic calendar that the driver will see. If you agree and confirm, it will be what is seen on the day of the booking by the driver. The customer must check then text and email back confirmed.
The above information can also be text to the customer on request, this confirms the correct mobile contact to which is essential for return journeys, for the pickup contact.
This information can be printed from your online account as a document, or sent to you by email for return confirmation,by request by email, this can be used for your travel expenses. Return one to the driver and retain one for your records ie for return pickup or receipt for travel expenses. No further receipt will be available.
The returns document/receipt will provide all the necessary information for your collection on return journey.
Changes to your pickup times
There are rare occasions when Barries Cars Ltd can change the pickup time to accommodate the smooth running of the operation in relation to traffic conditions and other services provided as long as it is within 12 hours of the originally agreed pickup time. This must be notified to the customers contact by text or email that originally booked. If this happens there will be no change to the agreed fare.
There may be an occasion where customers may be asked if they would share a car due to the unfortunate delay of another of our cars which is caused by weather conditions, road conditions, mechanical breakdown or staffing. If this has been a request of Barries Cars Ltd even at short notice (no time limit) to facilitate the guarantee of transport to your destination, Barries Cars Ltd have no obligation to alter the fare or offer compensation. If this has been refused by the customer then no guarantee can be offered for the transport under Barries cars Ltd warranties guarantee. This however must be considered a last resort under extra special circumstances
